COVID-19: France eases restrictions on travelers vaccinated from the UK

The measures for travelers from that country were announced on December 16.

The French government announced this Thursday a relaxation of restrictions on vaccinated travelers from the United Kingdom.

The measures for travelers from that country were announced on December 16 last, when the omicron variant was spreading uncontrollably through the British territory, but now its “widespread diffusion” in France makes it unnecessary to maintain them in their entirety, said the Executive it’s a statement.

As of this Friday, all travelers from British soil must present a negative test (PCR or antigens) carried out with a maximum of 24 hours in advance.

Those vaccinated will no longer need to justify a compelling reason for their movement nor will they have to register their place of accommodation to guarantee that they carry out a ten-day quarantine.

Instead, unvaccinated travelers will have to continue to justify an important reason and will have to continue registering their place of residence to carry out that ten-day quarantine, which will be controlled by the security forces. (I)
