President Venezuelan, Nicolas Maduro, congratulated this Saturday the “people and Government of the Republic of Cuba”On the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power.
“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and Government, congratulates our brother People and Government of the Republic of Cuba; on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution ”, reads a statement released by the Foreign Ministry.
In it, he reaffirms his “unwavering solidarity” with the Cubans “under the guidance” of Raúl Castro “and the correct leadership” of President Miguel Díaz-Canel, as well as the Communist Party of Cuba.
He celebrated that Cuba remains “firm in the defense of dignity, sovereignty, independence and other conquests achieved” since January 1, 1959, date “that put an end to the atrocious dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.”
Maduro also paid tribute to Fidel Castro Ruz, as well as the rest of the “men and women of the Rebel Army” and sent his “fraternal embrace to the new generations of Cubans who 63 years later continue to give a shining example of courage, resistance and solidarity” .
