Uruguay faced a forest fire in the middle of the New Year, firefighters continue to attend to the affected areas

The flames have been controlled but officers continue to work in the affected region. At the moment there are no fatalities, according to authorities.

The firefighters of Uruguay and part of some citizens continue to work on the extinction of the different forest fires that were registered in the South American country, which anaughty heat wave in the west of the territory.

As reported this Friday by the National Emergency System, at this time the departments (provinces) most affected by the fire are Canelones (south), Paysandú (west) and Río Negro (west).
