More than 342,000 formal jobs were subsidized between 2020 and 2021

Since the entry into force of emergency decree 127-2020, which establishes the granting of subsidies for the recovery of formal employment in the private sector, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) approved 11 lists of employers that qualify for this benefit.

In this way, between 2020 and this year 342,777 have been subsidized jobs belonging to 45,531 private companies, which implied a disbursement of S / 363 million 091 thousand 200, according to the latest MTPE report.

In detail, micro and small companies (mypes) represented about 66% of the subsidized organizations, since a total of 29,903 smaller companies benefited, which allowed 116,659 jobs to be created in this segment.

Likewise, 304,775 jobs were subsidized with fixed term contracts Y 38,002 jobs with permanent contracts.

The MTPE report also reveals that three out of 10 subsidized jobs were for young people, since a total of 94,3977 benefited, while 248,380 subsidies allowed an adult to enter the working market formal.

At the level of economic sectors, services provided to companies were the ones that could generate the most employment (69,254), followed by construction (49,300), commerce (44,214), manufacturing (43,254), transport and communications (26,325), social and community services and personal, (22,323), hotels and restaurants (21,231), among others.
