The Government of Spain has increased the requirements in the sanitary controls of entry to the country for passengers from countries considered high risk, given the worsening of their epidemiological situation due to the omicron variant of covid-19.
A regulation of the Spanish Ministry of Health published this Wednesday establishes the requirements that will be requested from Thursday, which include, in addition to a negative diagnostic test, a document certifying that they have been vaccinated or that they have recovered from the disease.
These certificates must be written in Spanish, English, French or German, and if it is not possible to obtain it in these languages, they must provide a supporting document accompanied by a translation into Spanish made by an official body.
The countries considered of high riskThose that have had a significant worsening of their epidemiological situation are Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, according to the Spanish authorities.
