The prosecutor is being investigated for the death of Naomi Arcentales, a fact recorded on December 12. He was suspended days ago by the Council of the Judiciary.

Julio César Cueva, defense attorney for the investigated prosecutor, pointed out that around 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday they released Juan Carlos I., after the Police confirmed that there was no arrest warrant against his client.

“The ballot was false, someone accessed the system to enter false information, therefore, from tomorrow (this Wednesday 29) I begin to work to sue the Police and sue the State, this cannot happen to a citizen without there being consequences ”, declared Cueva after the prosecutor’s release.

Juan Carlos I. was arrested after 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday at a police checkpoint in the Paján canton, a town bordering the Guayas province.

Cueva considered that even his client could be detained for five hours in the Paján canton because the police officers did not know where to take him, as there was no information in the system about an arrest warrant for Juan Carlos I.
