Russia and Ukraine are accused of mutually attacking in Kursk

Russia And Ukraine mutually accused Sunday for a deadly attack on a boarding school in Sudzha, a city in the Kursk region in Russia that has been under Ukrainian control for five months.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicated on Saturday night that four people died and four others were seriously injured in the attack, with 84 people rescued by Ukrainian soldiers from the debris of the building. The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Moscow had bombarded the boarding school where civilians took refuge and prepared to evacuate.

The General Staff said those who needed additional medical assistance were evacuated to medical facilities in Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in the early hours of Sunday that it was the Ukrainian forces that launched a missile attack on the school, saying that the missiles were launched from the Sumy region in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the death toll from a Russian missile attack in an apartment block in the Ukrainian city of Poltava on Saturday increased to 14, including two children, local officials reported Sunday. Seventeen people were injured in the attack on the five -story building, said the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Moscow sent 55 drones to Ukraine during the night until Sunday, Ukrainian officials pointed out. According to the Ukraine Air Force, 40 drones were destroyed during night attacks. Other 13 drones were “lost”, probably having been interfered electronically.

Two people were injured in a drone attack in the early hours of Sunday in the Járkiv region, according to the regional governor, Oleh Syniehubov.

Five people were injured when a Russian drone hit a bus in the city of Jersón on Sunday, said local governor, Oleksandr Prokudin.

In Russia, the Ministry of Defense indicated that five Ukrainian drones were shot down during the night in five regions of western Russia: three over the Kursk region and one in each of the regions of Belgorod and Bryansk.

A man died in a drone attack in the Belgorod region, said Regional Governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
