Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Friday that there will be a “big war” in the Middle East and, potentially, a “Third World War,” if he does not win the presidential elections next November.

The former president (2017-2021) held a meeting this Friday with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuat his holiday home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, a day after the Israeli leader met separately with US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House.

“If we win (the elections), it will be very simple. “It will all be resolved and very quickly,” Trump told reporters at the start of the meeting. But he warned that if he does not reach the White House, “we will end up with major wars in the Middle East and perhaps a Third World War.”

“We are closer to a Third World War right now than at any time since World War II. We have never been so closebecause we have incompetent people in charge of our country,” the former president warned. Trump greeted the Israeli president at the door of his mansion on Friday at noon with a gesture of closeness and both greeted each other by shaking hands firmly, before going inside, as seen in a video posted on social media by members of the former president’s campaign.

The former president expressed his solidarity with Israel at the meeting after the ““atrocious attack” on October 7, 2023, and promised that when he returns to the White House, he will do everything he can “to bring peace to the Middle East and prevent anti-Semitism from spreading across America’s college campuses.”
