Zuckerberg finds it “hard not to get emotional” about Trump’s “spirit” after assassination attempt

The founder and CEO of Goal, Mark Zuckerbergconsidered that it is “hard not to get excited” with the “spirit and the struggle” of the former president Donald Trump (2017-2021) after the attempted murder last Saturday, when he raised his fist and asked his followers to ‘they will fight’ after a bullet grazed his ear.

“On a personal note, seeing Donald Trump stand up after being shot in the face and raise his fist with the American flag (behind him) is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen in my life,” Zuckerberg added during an interview with Bloomberg published on Friday.

For the president of Meta -parent company of social networks like Facebook- that “spirit” and “struggle” of the now official Republican candidate for the US presidential elections is the reason why “many people like him.”

On the other hand, just over a week ago, Trump spoke out against Zuckerberg on his own platform, Truth Social, stating that he would put him in jail if he wins at the polls on November 5.

“All I can say is that if I am elected president, we will go after the election fraudsters and they will be sent to prison for a long period of time. We know who they are (…) Zuckerberg, be careful!“, wrote.

The Republican leader thus stressed his idea that social networks such as Facebook and Instagram (both from Meta) are used to influence American public opinion against him.

In this regard, during the interview with Bloomberg, Zuckerberg assured that Meta will continue to reduce political content in the coming months because “People prefer that it doesn’t appear to them”” in their profiles.
