Italy has dawned this Friday with protests against the new rule imposed by the Government that It obliges to present the anticovid certificate to access the workplaces
The sectors most affected have been those of transporters and stevedores, who have called strikes against the norm. In the port of Trieste, 6,000 longshoremen have gathered in protest and there have also been demonstrations in Genoa or Ancona, where they have managed to block access for hours.
Despite the protests, ports have managed to maintain their activity with few incidents. In Genoa, where the biggest problems were expected, the port’s operability, although it has been reduced, has not been compromised by the protests of the anti-vaccine workers.
Several demonstrations and rallies have also been organized against the sanitary certificate in Milan and Rome, for which more than 1,000 agents have been mobilized after the altercations last weekend in the capital due to the infiltration of neo-fascists who stormed the headquarters of the CGIL union.
Italy applies from today the obligation to enter the workplace to present the health pass, which consists of vaccination against coronavirus or a negative test, and most companies have accepted and organized without problems. Unvaccinated workers are only 10% of the total.
