The Iranian embassy in the United States said the allegations were “malicious” and “unsubstantiated.”

The spokesman for its Foreign Ministry, Naser Kanani, said that Tehran “firmly rejects any involvement in the recent armed attack against Trump”.

However, he stressed that Iran remains “determined to prosecute Trump for his direct role in the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani,” the commander of the Revolutionary Guard who was the victim of a US drone strike in Iraq in 2020.
