after one campaign in which the European Union has insisted on the importance of participating in the electoral process, appealing especially to the young votethe European electoral process comes to an end this Sunday, when most of the EU countries celebrate the european elections, with its rules and its candidates, to define the composition of Parliament for the next five years. From Germany to Malta, each country will elect a specific number of MEPswho will be integrated into the European Parliament groups to make decisions that affect the entire bloc throughout the new legislature (2024-2029).

But when will we know who those deputies will be? Since each country holds elections at its own pace, the counting of all votes may not match, so it is possible to see the election results in one country at one time, but data for another country is not available. However, the European Parliament does not allow data to be published until at least all Europeans have voted. Italy is the country that takes the longest to do so: In addition to holding the elections in two days, their polling stations remain open until 11:00 p.m., so no data will be known until this time.

To be honest, it is possible that data based on exit polls does appear. From the European Parliament, in fact, a first set of estimates of results is made, by country, around 6:15 p.m., although always on estimates and never on real data. A couple of hours later, once the polling stations in Spain have closed (around 8:15 p.m.), the European Parliament holds a first projection of the composition of the new Parliamentagain based on national estimates, as well as an estimate of the results for each country.

But the results of the European elections in Spain (and in the rest of the countries) cannot begin to be published until 11:00 p.m., when Italy closes its schools. From this hour onwards, you can follow live participation data as well as the votes received by each of the parties that have participated in these elections both on laSexta.com and on laSexta, thanks to the special ARV Objective Europe, presented by Antonio G. Ferreras, where they will go commenting on the results live and in real time.
