The President of the Government and leader of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, stated this Friday, on the last day of the European election campaign, that It has “very good vibes” about what is going to happen on June 9, and has indicated that the PSOE are “prepared to win”, while Feijóo, as he has said, is that they are going to “tie”.
“A month ago they said ‘we are going to destroy’ the PSOE, said Feijóo and the PP, and today it is ‘we are going to tie’. Well, we we are prepared to win and that is what we are going to do next June 9,” he declared at a rally held in the cloister of the Julián Besteiro School of UGT, in Madrid.
In this way, the leader of the PSOE has alluded to the video broadcast by the PP on social networks in which the popular ones call to “break the tie” and they warn that the PSOE wants a tie so that people “resign and think that they will never be able to win a better country,” and that they intend to do so by dividing the vote against them.
In response, the President of the Government has defended that “there is no good or bad extreme right”, but rather that “what there is is a right that is worse than bad”, which, as he said, “we suffer in Spain”. “It is the one we are going to defeat on June 9,” he said.
Thus, Sánchez thanked on the spot for the support received by the UGT and by the socialist militancy towards him and his family after the summons to declare his wife, Begoña Gómez, under investigation, a fact to which he has not expressly alluded. “I am very clear, they attack us so they attack us, because we defend what we defend and do what we do from the Government of Spain. “I’m not naive,” he declared.
Furthermore, during the rally, in which there were several allusions to the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, Pedro Sánchez especially asked for the I vote for the undecided, for women and for the elderly to win against the PP and Vox, while expressing all his “solidarity, camaraderie and brotherhood with the Argentine people.”
In this sense, Sánchez recalled that the meeting was promoted by Vox in Spain, since, as he said, they see the progressive coalition government as “a real problem” because they are “deconstructing” their attacks with facts and data. “They try, with disqualifications, defamations and with hoaxes, to overthrow a Government of a progressive coalition that is demonstrating with facts that progress is a sum of many things”, among them “growth, job creation and redistribution of wealth based on criteria of progressivity”.
Faced with this scenario, he has called on women, young and old to be the first to vote, warning about what Europe could be like “if on June 9 not only the men in black from the right return with their scissors, but The chainsaw of the extreme right joins them“.
In his opinion, the dilemma is between “more Europe or more extreme right”: “We want a Europe of solidarity, or we want a reactionary Europe, or we are with Milei, or with social justice, or we are with peace or we are with Netanyahu; either we are with fair play or we are Feijóo“Either we are with feminism or we are with Abascal, or we are with coexistence or we are with Ayuso.”
Finally, Sánchez concluded his speech by highlighting that “whoever wants social justice, coexistence, equality, peace, and fair play should vote for the Socialist Party on June 9.”
