Teresa Ribera defends the need to raise a “containment dam” to the extreme right in the European elections to be held on June 9. At a rally held in Lleida accompanied by Salvador Illa, the socialist candidate for 9J assured that “nothing good can come from a scenario of hate.”

“We must face them with honesty and social commitmentwhich is what we have demonstrated in recent years,” defends Ribera, who affirms that there is no “good and bad far right”“. He has also responded to the words of Abascal, who considered his latest statements a “clown”: “What is an aberration is what his vice presidents and Vox deputies say in Congress.”

For his part, the Secretary of Justice of the PSOE and Minister of the Presidency, Felix Bolaños, has stated in Níjar (Almería) that on June 9 the socialists have “the mission of stopping the far-right and reactionary wave in Spain, as we already did on July 23” in the general elections. “We know very well what the June 9 ballot means, what it means to vote for the PSOE and what it means to vote for the PP and Vox, which are an ultra-indistinguishable coalition and that you can vote at random, for one or the other, because are the same at this moment in our country,” he stated during a public event.

Bolaños recalled that the European Union was born after the “very serious war” of World War II, in which European countries “collaborated to build a Europe with shared values such as justice, solidarity, fraternity and freedom“.
