Sending a letter with electoral propaganda of the PP for the european elections has caused a stir in the last few hours in the Valencian Community. The PP campaign director, Esteban González Pons, has apologized for the “error”, which he attributes to a mixture of translations in the printing press. The institutional advertising that the party has sent to many Valencian homes has arrived in perfect Catalan, with expressions like ‘sortir’ or ‘teva‘, typical of the usual variant in Barcelona, something that the PP does not share.

“Last night I learned that in the printing press, outside the PP, an error was made in the mailing of the campaign in the Valencian Community and the translations into Valencian and Catalan were mixed. It could have happened anywhere, but it was in my country,” Pons begins.

“As campaign director and Valencian, I publicly apologize and assume responsibility for this human error. This morning A new batch of letters written in Spanish and correct Valencian has been sent which, to the extent possible, will replace the previous ones. We continue working and, although we do not always get it right, we give the best of ourselves with humility and total dedication,” reads the PP statement.
