Eurostat data from the end of 2022 indicate that there are approximately 33.44 thousand people in Poland. citizens of other European Union countries. As it turns out, their largest group are Germans. Almost every fourth EU immigrant comes from this country – a total of over 7,000 people live in Poland. German citizens, which translates into 22.4 percent. whole. For comparison, it is worth pointing out that according to data from 2021, the Polish community in Germany numbered nearly 871,000. people.
Germans in Poland constitute the largest group of immigrants from European Union countries
Second place was taken by Italian citizens, who constitute a total of 12.7 percent. immigrants from EU countries. Behind them were Bulgarians, whose number translates into 7.8 percent. the whole group. Although Germany tops the ranking, citizens of other EU member states neighboring Poland placed much further down. Immigrants from Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia constitute 4.1% and 3.8% respectively. and 3.7 percent all foreigners from the community living in our country.

Eurostat data was graphically prepared and presented on social media by Andrzej Kubisiak, deputy director of the Polish Economic Institute.
