Google shows “enthusiasm” for Milei’s visit to Silicon Valley, according to Argentine minister

Executives of the American technology company Google This Monday they expressed their “enthusiasm” for the upcoming visit of the president of Argentina, Javier Mileito Silicon Valley, where he is scheduled to meet with executives from the sector, according to the Minister of the Interior of the South American country, Guillermo Francos.

According to Francos, “Google executives expressed their enthusiasm for an upcoming visit by Javier Milei to Silicon Valley, with the aim of working together to develop the digitalization of Argentina.”

Milei is scheduled to visit the United States at the end of May to meet with technology sector entrepreneurs, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

“On May 27 we leave for San Francisco and we are going to have meetings with all the leaders of technological issues, including Mar Zuckerberg,” Milei said on Saturday.

Francos met with Google executives in Buenos Aires this Monday to discuss the arrival of the Firmina submarine cable to Las Toninas, on the Atlantic coast of the South American country.

Francos reported the meeting on his official profile on the social network

Since his presidential inauguration on December 10, Milei has already traveled to the United States three times.

On February 23, he traveled to Washington to participate in the Conservative Action Political Conference (CPAC) and met with former US president and Republican electoral candidate, Donald Trump (2017-2021).

On April 10, he returned to the US, this time to Miami and Texas, where he met with businessman Elon Musk at the Tesla factory in Austin.

On May 6, he embarked on a new trip, this time to Los Angeles, where he met again with Musk and spoke at the Milken Institute global investor conference.

Added to these trips was another one he made at the end of November, already as president-elect, to New York.
