The presidential candidate of the Mexican ruling party, Claudia Sheinbaumpromised this Thursday to support the City of Mexicowhich she governed between 2018 and 2023, in the supply of water in areas that are experiencing a shortage of liquid such as the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office, in the west of the country’s capital.

“We are going to support drinking water, which is a very great need for Álvaro Obregón”said the representative of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, made up of the ruling National Regeneration Movement (Morena) and its allies, the Labor Parties (PT) and Green Ecologist of Mexico (PVEM).

Mexico City is currently experiencing a water shortage crisis, since until last March, the Cutzamala system, which supplies water to the capital of the country and municipalities of the State of Mexico, was less than 40% of his ability and experts predicted that the ‘Day zero’ of the supply could arrive in July.

“We had the problem of the decrease in water from the Cutzamala, (but) we can return the quality of the water and the amount of water necessary for all of Álvaro Obregón, with that we are going to support Clara (Brugada, candidate for head of government of Mexico City)”, Sheinbaum now commented.

In addition, Sheinbaum promised to support Brugada in mobility through the completion of metro line 12 that runs from the south of the city and would reach the west.

In addition to this, he said that he will seek to create a cablebus line so that the inhabitants of this area can more easily reach the metro. He also promised to reduce insecurity and help the federal government maintain social programs.

Finally, he urged his followers to vote ‘6 out of 6’, that is, for all the coalition candidates, for mayors, local legislators, federal deputies, senators and for the presidency of the Republic.

Sheinbaum leads the electoral preferences in the June 2 elections, the largest in the country’s history, where 20,375 positions in Mexico will be renewed, including the presidency, the 500 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and the 128 in the Senate, as well as nine state governments, including that of Mexico City.
