Ridouan Taghi became the most feared drug trafficker in the Netherlands for his leadership in the ‘Mocro Maffia’next to Karim Bouyakhrichan. The authorities They issued a search and arrest warrant against him for several murders he committed between 2015 and 2017, including that of an important Iranian opponent. He was hunted and is now serving a life sentence.

After the authorities began to close in on him, Taghi took refuge in Morocco, but ended up escaping to the United Arab Emirates. The tentacles of the ‘Mocro Maffia’ which he headed, but the authorities of the Arab country ended up finding him in Dubai.

It was then that Taghi told the Dutch public television program EenVandaag that after being arrested he was tortured: “They beat, kicked and tortured me for 72 hours. From there, he organized other murders. He was shot five times in the head in broad daylight in the center of Amsterdam. One of his accomplices in this crime was arrested in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.

It is evident that he did not seem to fear anyone, since it was he who was behind the threats to the Dutch princess Amalia of Orange or the prime minister of the country, Mark Rutte. Last February, the ‘Marengo’ trial was concluded and Taghi was sentenced to life imprisonment.
