Israel has ended its siege on the Al-Shifa hospital, located in the north of the Gaza Strip. In this operation, the Israeli Army claims to have detained some 900 suspects, of which 513 would be members of terrorist groups included within Hamas and 350, patients and health workers at the hospital. In this operation, they claim to have killed 200 militiamenamong whom would be a senior official of the Islamist group.

However, some NGOs harshly criticize an operation in which Israel would have killed 13 minors, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, children between 4 and 16 years old. The organization defends that the murder of these minors constitutes war crimes.

Al-Shifa is the largest hospital complex in the Gaza Strip. At the time of the siege, hundreds of patients, health workers and people who were they were looking for refuge. And, according to international law, hospitals should be off the frontsomething that Israel has not respected since the offensive began.

Hamas has responded to this attack by publishing a video showing how they use a rocket launcher against various tanks, as well as snipers shooting at soldiers guarding the area. Israel’s destruction has also affected neighboring neighborhoods, such as Al-Rimal, which has been buried under rubble.
