Walmart announces better than expected results and buys TV maker Vizio

Walmart recorded sales of $648.1 billion in its annual fiscal year ended at the end of January, an advance of 6% over the last fiscal year and above its own forecasts.

Profits also grew, 33%, to 15.51 billion dollars. Per share, this is a profit of $6.65, 5.7% more than the previous year.
