The National Chamber of Labor of Argentina (CNT) has approved a precautionary measure to suspend part of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU), the neoliberal shock plan promoted by the president Javier Milei and with which it seeks to turn around the economic situation of the South American country.
Thus, labor justice has temporarily overturned “until final sentence is handed down“Title IV of the DNU, which dictates measures in the field of employment. The CNT has adopted this precautionary measure after accepting the claims of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) for processing,” reports the Télam agency.
One of the aspects of the DNU most questioned by the union is precisely the article that aims to extension of the trial period up to eight monthsthe incorporation of blockades or seizure of facilities as a cause for dismissal, as well as the planned changes in the compensation system.
The great decree promoted by Milei includes about 300 laws and with it it seeks to deregulate the economy, apply a state of public and economic emergency until December 31, 2025, modify the labor market and health plans, repeal the rental law and privatize public companies, among other measures.
