USA, Germany, France and United Kingdom condemned on Thursday the acceleration of the production of enriched uranium by Iran, noted in a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“We condemn this measure that further aggravates the continued escalation of the Iranian nuclear program” the countries declared in a joint statement.
“Iran’s production of highly enriched uranium has no credible civilian justification,” they added.
The UN nuclear body affirmed on Wednesday that Iran’s reserves of enriched uranium exceed the limit set by the agreement reached in 2015 between the Islamic Republic and world powers by more than 22 times.
The organization also criticized Iran’s decision to prohibit several of its inspectors from accessing its facilities, which has affected “directly and seriously”the ability to control its nuclear program.
