the swiss bank UBS will be the main sponsor of the Swiss Football Association (ASF), replacing Credit Suisse, acquired by the first entity in March, as indicated in a statement.
UBS will only continue the agreement that Credit Suisse had with the ASF since 1993, which will continue at least until 2028, the business note stated.
The Zurich bank will thus be the main sponsor of the men’s and women’s soccer teams in all categories, as well as other sports modalities such as beach soccer or e-soccer, he added.
The Credit Suisse brand, which will gradually disappear especially starting next year due to its progressive absorption by UBS, will nevertheless remain in Swiss national football until the summer of next year, the second entity indicated.
Credit Suisse was also the main sponsor of the Swiss club league, a sponsorship that UBS previously indicated would continue at least until the end of the current contract, at the end of the 2024-25 season.
