The list “The World’s 100 Best Clubs” 2023 was made public tonight within the framework of the eighth Golden Moon Awards Gala that was held this Monday in Barcelona, ​​coinciding with the 9th Edition of the International Nightlife Congress and the 4th Edition of the National Leisure Congress that hosts today and tomorrow the Catalan capital.

Catalonia is the autonomous community of Spain with the most clubs on this international list, rising with twelve places compared to the nine it achieved in last year’s edition, followed by the Balearic Islands, with ten clubs and Madrid, with three, according to reports the International Nightlife Association, organizers of the meeting.

Hï Ibiza, opened in 2017, has been awarded this statuette again for the fourth consecutive year, while Omnia Las Vegas and Ushuaïa Ibiza have achieved second and third place, respectively.

Twelve Catalan nightclubs have entered this prestigious international list, of which nine are in Barcelona and one in the provinces of Girona, Tarragona and Lleida, respectively.

The Sutton nightclub in Barcelona has also been awarded the Golden Moon Award in the category of “Best action in terms of protection of clients and workers” for their good practice and for the application of protocols such as “No Callem -let’s not be silent-” of Barcelona City Council and for the implementation of “Ask For Angela”, the highest distinction in terms of safety and quality of nightlife at an international level.

This award was presented by the president of the European Nightlife Association, Maurizio Pasca, and was collected by the general director of Sutton, Robert Massanet.

The Barcelona City Council and the Generalitat of Catalonia have also been awarded, receiving the Golden Moon Award in the category of best collaborative project in nightlife security for their action carried out on the Barceloneta seafront. the busiest nightlife area in Europe.

In the List of “The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2023” Locals from up to 30 countries appear, with Spain being the one with the most clubs in this one, with 27 of them among the 100, followed by the United States with 20 and the United Kingdom with 6.

“The World’s 100 Best Clubs” 2023 has been selected from a total of 373 nominated venues, from 65 different countries.

The online popular vote has represented the fifty% of the final vote, while the other fifty% It has been determined by a jury made up of sector experts who have evaluated the evolution of the venues this year, based on criteria such as musical programming, security, acoustics and quality of their service, among other factors.
