Callao Logistics Park: what will the first project of the Jorge Chávez Airport City be like?

Lima Airport Partners (LAP), the airport’s operating company, has been developing, as part of the expansion works at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, the first project that will be executed and will begin operation at the beginning of 2024: the Callao Logistics Park.

This initiative, which will be built in the Airport City, has an investment of US$53 million and during its first phase it has generated more than 300 direct jobs and it is estimated that when it comes into operation it will generate more than 1,000 jobs in Lima and Callao.

Thus, this park will be the first last mile rental warehouse condominium in the country, which will have a construction of approximately 96,000 m² covered warehouse space, which will be developed in four phases. Currently, work is being done on the first phase with an average surface area of 15,000 m².

“The Callao Logistics Park is the first Airport City project to begin operations next year. The entire first phase has already been placed at more than 80%, which ratifies the commitment of LAP, LatAm Logistics and Capia. This project is inserted into LAP’s real estate business model, seeking the development of available areas near the airport operation,” said Joseff Monzón, representative of LAP.

For her part, Alicia Izquierdo, real estate program manager of LAP, specified that class A warehouses will mainly be developed. This infrastructure will be focused on mass storage activities, retail and pharmaceutical areas. “Due to its strategic position near the airport and the port of Callao, it is an attractive center for national and international investment,” she added.
