An Israeli bombing of a school operated by the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has left dozens of dead and injured in northern Gaza.

According to sources cited by the local news agency ‘WAFA’, the bombing carried out by Israel has affected the Osama Bin Zaid school, located in the Al Saftawi area, where numerous displaced Palestinians were taking refuge.

The pan-Arab channel ‘Al Jazeera’ has stated that there are at least 20 dead, although the balance could be greater. For the moment, UNRWA has not commented on the matter.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health had previously indicated that an Israeli bombardment had hit the entrance to Al Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital complex in Gaza, an attack that has been confirmed by Israel, which has indicated that a terrorist cell was in one of the ambulances parked in front of the building. At least 13 people have died and 26 have been injured in the attack.
