Hamas spent two years organizing the October 7 attack on Israel, in which around 1,400 Israelis were killed. It is surprising that the planning of the largest attack in Israel’s history went unnoticed by Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, one of the best in the world.

The terrorist organization achieved this by carrying out a “old-fashioned” planningaccording to US intelligence sources telling CNN. Blas Morenoco-director of ‘The World Order’ details that “it is the only way for these militias to bargain or avoid the surveillance of a technological colossus such as Israel.”

The main key: avoid the use of computers and mobile phones. To do this, they held in-person meetings and calls through their own lines, a telephone wiring that runs through the underground network of tunnels in the Gaza Strip.

The same ones that allow Hamas to hide and fire missiles, and travel through Gaza without being noticed. Practices that are a trademark according to the director of ‘The Political Room’, Yago Rodríguez: “The conclusion has been reached that it is necessary to prepare and often, in fact, it is safer to use all these kinds of methods. Not only for these groups, which is essential, because Israeli signals and cyber intelligence is excellent if not for much more modern armies”.

A preparation that allowed up to 1,500 Hamas members to secretly enter Israel through the border with Gaza. Until now, Israel directly pointed to Iran as the planner of the attacks.
