Argentina is the country in which the largest proportion of the population distrusts politicians, in a list drawn up from an annual survey by the French company Ipsos in which Spain, Peru and Colombia also appear in the bottom group.

The only Latin American country in which rejection of politicians is below this average is Brazil, where despite everything, only 15% of the people consulted appreciate politicians and 66% reject them.
At the other end of the scale, the highest-rated professions are doctors (with a confidence level of 58% globally), scientists (57%), teachers (53%) and members of the armed forces (42%). ).
Surveys in recent years show that this high trust in medical professionals reached a peak in 2021 (64% trust), a year in which the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was very present.
For politicians, the poor regard that the population has has decreased slightly, taking into account that in 2018 only 9% of the population in all the countries where the survey was carried out trusted them.
