The so-called Axis of Resistance is a kind of informal alliance captained by Iran and composed of Syriathe Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, Palestinian factions, Iraqi militias and the Houthi rebels of Yemen, among others.
The head of Iranian diplomacy assured that the Axis leaders have made it clear to him that the response of the resistance will change the map of the territories occupied by the Palestinians.
Despite the warnings, Abdolahian said Tehran will continue working through diplomacy to end the siege of Gaza and stop the war. Furthermore, he reported that his country is collecting “evidence of Israeli war crimes” to file complaints before international courts, something that has been discussed with the UN Secretary General, António Guterres.
Abdolahian is on a regional tour that has included stops in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, a country he has visited twice in recent days. The Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel are bitter enemies, they pose a mutual existential threat, compete for regional hegemony and maintain a covert war with cyberattacks, assassinations and sabotage.
