Khabib Nurmagomedov called stability the key to success in MMA
Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, revealed the secret of success in mixed martial arts (MMA). His words are quoted by the YouTube channel Anatomy of a Fighter.
“Stability is the key to success. You need to train every day just like you did before you became a champion,” Nurmagomedov said. He also noted the importance of listening to your body.
Earlier, Russian UFC champion Islam Makhachev called Nurmagomedov the greatest lightweight fighter in MMA history. “Khabib is the best fighter in the history of the lightweight division. He destroyed every opponent he ever faced,” Makhachev said.
Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title three times before retiring in 2020. In total, the athlete won 29 victories in 29 professional fights in mixed martial arts.
After finishing his performances, Nurmagomedov began coaching. In 2022, he was named the best trainer of the year according to MMA Junkie.
