Dozens of foreign citizens have been killed, injured or taken hostage since the offensive launched on Saturday by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas against Israelwhich has already left more than 1,200 dead on the Israeli side, including several Latin Americans and Spaniards.
In the Gaza Strip, health authorities give a toll of at least 1,354 dead in the Israeli bombings launched in retaliation. By count, 107 deaths of foreign citizens, many of whom also had Israeli nationality, have been confirmed by the authorities of their countries.
Below is the list of foreign victims in Israel, according to the latest information made public on Thursday.
United States: at least 22 dead and several hostages
According to Washington, at least 22 Americans died.
Additionally, President Joe Biden reported Tuesday that American citizens are among those kidnapped by Hamas.
Thailand: 21 dead and 16 hostages
Twenty-one Thais died in Israeli territory and 16 were kidnapped.
Some 30,000 Thais work in Israel, essentially as agricultural workers.
France: 12 dead and 17 missing
The French Foreign Ministry mourned the death of 12 of its citizens. There are also 17 missing.
Nepal: 10 dead and 1 missing
Ten Nepalis were killed in the offensive, according to their embassy in Tel-Aviv.
Four others are hospitalized in Israel and the embassy reported that a fifth citizen of this Asian country is missing.
Israel was hosting 265 Nepali students, 17 of whom were staying at the Alumim (south) kibbutz, which was attacked.
Argentina: 7 dead and 15 missing
Buenos Aires confirmed the death of seven Argentines and the disappearance of another 15. Among them are two brothers, Iair and Eitan Horn, declared their father, who fears that they were “kidnapped and taken to Gaza.”
Ukraine: 7 dead and 9 missing
kyiv’s foreign ministry confirmed that seven Ukrainians were killed and nine others were missing.

United Kingdom: 4 dead and several missing
At least four Britons were killed. The Israeli embassy in London confirmed on Wednesday the deaths of a photographer and a 26-year-old man who lived in Israel and was part of the security at an attacked music festival. The other deaths were confirmed by families.
The BBC said 17 Britons, including children, were dead or missing, a figure that has not been confirmed by the government.
Russia: 4 dead and 6 missing
Moscow’s embassy in Tel Aviv confirmed on Tuesday the deaths of four Russians who also had Israeli nationality. He also reported that six Russians are missing.
Chile: 1 dead and 1 missing
The Chilean Foreign Ministry reported the death of a compatriot. Another Chilean is missing.
China: 3 dead and 2 missing
The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that “Three Chinese citizens died in clashes.” Two others are missing and several injured.
Canada: 3 dead and 3 missing
Ottawa reported the death of three Canadians and the disappearance of three others.
Philippines: 2 dead and 3 missing
The Philippine ambassador to Israel reported that a Filipino woman and a man were killed in the attack on a kibbutz on the border with Gaza. Another body is in the process of identification. Three other Filipinos are missing.
Peru: 2 dead and 3 missing
The Peruvian Foreign Ministry reported that two citizens died and that three are missing.
Brazil: 2 dead and 1 missing
A man and a woman with dual Brazilian and Israeli nationality were killed in the Hamas attack. A Brazilian woman was still missing, according to Brasilia.
Portugal: 1 dead, 4 missing
Lisbon announced the death of a person with Portuguese and Israeli nationality and the disappearance of 4 other binationals.
Austria: 3 dead and 2 missing
The Austrian Foreign Ministry declared Thursday that three Austrians died and two remain missing.
Spain: 1 dead and 1 missing
The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this Wednesday the “Death of the Spanish-Israeli citizen Maya Villalobo Sinvany”who, according to the Spanish press, was a young woman who was doing military service in a barracks near the Gaza Strip.
Another Spaniard would have been “affected” by the Hamas attack, the same source indicated. According to the local press, he would be missing.
Türkiye: 1 dead and 1 missing
The Israeli embassy in Turkey announced on Thursday the death of one Turkish citizen and the disappearance of another.
Cambodia: 1 dead
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet confirmed the death of a Cambodian student who was in Israel.
Australia: 1 dead
Foreign Minister Penny Wong reported the death of an Australian woman in the attacks.
Azerbaijan: 1 dead
The Foreign Ministry indicated on Wednesday that an Azerbaijani died.
Ireland: 1 dead
The Irish government confirmed on Wednesday that a 22-year-old Irish-Israeli woman had died.
Germany: Several hostages
Several German citizens, who also have Israeli nationality, were kidnapped, the Foreign Ministry declared on Sunday.
Mexico: Two hostages
Foreign Minister Alicia Barcena wrote on the social network X that two Mexicans, a man and a woman, were taken hostage.
Paraguay: 2 missing
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay reported on Sunday the disappearance of two Paraguayan citizens residing in Israel.
Colombia: 2 missing
The Israeli ambassador to Colombia indicated on Monday that two citizens are missing after being kidnapped.
The Foreign Ministry reported that it received “some requests for assistance to locate two compatriots, who at the time of the events were at a festival near the border between Gaza and Israel.”
Other countries
