A direct victim of the pain of war in Israel is Ophelia, a 77-year-old Argentine woman residing in Kibbutz Nir Oz. She was kidnapped early on Saturday along with more neighbors.

His family, in suspense, tells what that moment was like. Speaks Pablo Roitmanson of Ophelia: “They were captured by savage Hamas terrorists. They left nothing. “They burned, robbed, killed, murdered dozens of people and there were very few survivors.”

The assailants entered Ofelia’s settlement while they were communicating via mobile phone with her son Pablo, who asked her to close the door, silence the phone and take refuge in the safe room. She hears gunshots.

At 9:28 on Saturday morning, Ofelia writes her last message: “There are many shots that are heard”. Since then, the Roitmans have not heard from her. “We don’t know anything, we ask that they be released. We need everyone’s help in this,” says his son Pablo.

Ofelia and her family have lived in Israel since 1985. Her husband, hospitalized after a fall, was not at the kibbutz at the time of the assault. They have three children and nine grandchildren, all residents of Israel.

From Argentina, his nephew Hernan Feler, a sports journalist, spreads his aunt’s nightmare on social networks. Furthermore, he tells laSexta Noticias his greatest desire: “The greatest wish is that my aunt can return home. That she is not suffering. May he be as well as possible.” It is the hope that the family clings to in these difficult moments of uncertainty.
