This Monday, the United States Police shot dead the driver of a vehicle that has crashed into the Chinese Consulate in the Californian city of San Francisceither.

The agents received the notice around 3:10 p.m. (local time), when the car stopped inside the lobby of the visa office of the diplomatic headquarters. Police shot the suspect, who succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The authorities have indicated that there is little information availablele and have no indication of the reason for the incident, as reported by the CBS News television network.

The Consulate, for its part, has condemned the crash against the building, which he described as “a serious threat to the safety” of staff. “An unidentified person drove a vehicle and crashed violently,” the office said.

“Our Embassy severely condemns this violent attack and reserves the right to demand responsibilities related to the incident,” he stated, while reporting that he has demanded that Washington clarify the incident “and treat it seriously and in accordance with the law.”
