The Government does not agree with the decision taken by the European Union regarding aid to Palestine. This Monday, the European Commission decided “suspend all payments” to Palestinian development aid after the Hamas attack. This was announced by the Neighborhood Commissioner, Oliver Varhelyi, who also anticipated the review of all ongoing projects.

After hearing the news, Minister José Manuel Albares had a telephone conversation with the commissioner to convey his disagreement with this decision, which the Foreign Ministers were not aware of.
