Businessman Elon Musk he said on his social network x (before Twitter) that excessive government spending has ruined countless countries, in a message he posted in response to an excerpt from a program by journalist Tucker Carlson on Argentina and the “hyperinflation”.
“Excessive government spending, which is the fundamental cause of the inflationhas ruined countless countries”the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX wrote on his platform on Wednesday.
Carlson also interviewed Argentina’s far-right presidential candidate, Javier Milei, a conversation that will be published today.
Earlier this month, Carlson teased his meeting with Milei by uploading a photo of the two on X and introducing the politician as the “enemy of the Washington Post and probably the next president of Argentina.”
On that occasion, Musk commented that this “it would be a big change”; to which Milei responded by inviting him to visit the South American country next year if he wins the elections next October.
Musk has always declared himself an ultraliberal, and in recent times he has become increasingly closer to the movements of this sign in the United States and in different countries, while distancing himself from all progressive currents.
