More than 100 cats were found dead in the home of an elderly man in France

The old man suffered from a mental illness consisting of collecting more of the animals he could care for, and Diogenes syndrome (compulsive hoarding).

Animal protection associations found on Sunday a Hundred corpses of cats in the home of a retiree in southeastern France, as well as twenty other animals in poor health, one of these groups indicated.

The corpse of a cat partially eaten by other cats was found on the sofa. Another twenty still alive but stunted were rescued and entrusted to veterinarians or volunteers.
