The ECR, i.e. the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists, brings together 70 MEPs from 15 EU countries and is currently the third largest group in Poland. It is a faction dominated by MEPs from PiS and Sovereign Poland. regularly disbursing funds for administrative costs or promotion of politicians’ activities. That every year it receives approx. EUR 6 million from the European Parliament, i.e. almost PLN 27 million. ABOUTd 2019, i.e. since the last elections, PLN 12 million was to flow to companies and foundations from Poland. Some of this money went, as described by OKO.press, to “colleagues”, an MEP from Sovereign Poland.

Controversy arouses two companies that benefited from the aforementioned money. The first of them is the QQ PR Group company dealing with PR. It was founded in 2019, exactly after Patryk Jaki became an MEP. She placed her first order with the company then and the Ministry of Climate, when Jacek Dekora from the same party was the deputy minister there. The order included “consulting services in the field of crisis communication”. In 2020 and 2021, the company received two more orders from ECR, both with the same value of EUR 15,731, for the implementation of events. In 2022, the order was already larger and amounted to 32,250 euros. The founder of the company is Oliver Kubicki, who in 2020 and 2021 donated several thousand zlotys to Solidarna Polska.
The history of PR Partner is similar. It was also founded in 2019 by Marcin Rol, Patryk Jaki’s right hand in Opole. He also paid into Solidarna Polska in 2020, 2021 and also received very lucrative orders from . “In 2020, his company performed an order for Solidarna Polska. Ziobro’s party issued an invoice for PLN 17,000. In 2021, PR Partner received 65,450 from ECR for advertising and conference organization. A year later, a new contract for EUR 38,350. In total: EUR 103,800, over PLN 460,000” – quotes OKO.press. The portal calculated that in total, these two companies with “little experience in the industry” received a total of 167,512 euros, or around 750,000. zloty.
