US Treasury Secretary visits China to stabilize tension between the two countries

The secretary of Treasure American, Janet Yellen, arrived today at China to begin his four-day trip with the aim of channeling trade relations between the two powers, responsible for the global situation.

The US government plane in which Yellen traveled landed this Thursday afternoon in the capital of the Asian giant, beijingreported the different state media in China.

The US official’s visit will last until July 9 and includes meetings with high-ranking Chinese government officials.

Several Chinese analysts showed their lack of optimism about Yellen’s tour to the state media of the Asian country due to the official’s emphasis on the national security of USA and their partners.

Despite this, the Secretary of the Treasury will seek to work on collaboration “in global challenges”in addition to probably dealing with the problems in the trade of microchips between the two nations.

Yellen’s trip, which comes two weeks after the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinkentraveled to Beijing, is considered as another attempt to reduce the tension between the two powers, said the Treasury Department it’s a statement.

In a message published last April, the secretary described the economic priorities of this relationship: ensure national security interests, foster mutually beneficial growth, and cooperate on global challenges such as the climate crisis and the debt overhang.

The trip is part of the efforts of the Government of Joe Biden to improve communication with the Chinese Executive and prevent competition between the two countries from leading to an open conflict, as happened in the previous Administration.
