First Chinese-produced passenger plane made its maiden flight

The first commercial plane of Chinese design, the C919made its maiden commercial flight on Sunday, a turning point for the Chinese sector of the air Transport which has long wanted to compete with its Western competitors.

The C919 will be mobilized from Monday on the regular trips made by China Eastern Airlines to connect Shanghai and Chengdu (south), CCTV reported.

The first model of this narrow-body aircraft with capacity for 164 passengers it was officially handed over to the Chinese airline in December 2022.
