Some controversial statements that have spread like wildfire and that have generated much criticism. For example, the Minister for Women, Mónica Zalaquett, has indicated that “it is unacceptable that this right is questioned and he recalled that women came “to public life to stay and will continue to work for others to occupy spaces of political responsibility.”

For her part, communist deputy Carol Kariola has pointed out that Jose Antonio Kast, Kaiser’s colleague, “is a danger to all women” because “he and all his supporters believe that in a world with rights only for men.” “Do not understand that we can give an opinion, use contraceptives, that we have the right to decide about our bodies and that we have the right to vote, “he wrote on social media about it.

Kast has already assured that he “clearly” does not share Kaiser’s statements and urges to see “the moment and the context” of the video in which these statements were produced. In addition, he has indicated that “he will have to give an explanation” in this sense.

Kaiser, who will take office in March and was elected last Sunday with almost 12% support in a district of downtown Santiago, pointed out in a local media the “sarcasm” of his statements.
