The unanimous consent of the EU countries is needed to approve the sanctions. Ambassadors of 27 countries are to deal with the proposed restrictions on Wednesday for the first time.

China emphasizes that none of the Chinese entities transfers parts to Russia that can be used in the production of weapons used by the Russians in Ukraine.

The new list of entities subject to sanctions, according to “FT”, will include seven Chinese companies, including five from Hong Kong. Headquartered in mainland China, King-Pai Technology is already under US sanctions. According to Washington, this company supplies Russia with parts needed for the production of armaments.
