The era of Tucker Carlson on Fox News is over. The star journalist of the network, the main media support of Donald Trump, has finished his career just days after Fox Corp was sentenced to pay 787.5 million dollars for spreading the hoax of electoral fraud in the 2020 presidential elections.

Carlson was expected to testify at the trial. The indictment argued that statements made on Carlson’s show after the 2020 election were defamatory and that the messages between Carlson and his team were proof that he and his team knew the falsehood of the claims made by the Denver-based company.

The chain itself has been the one that has confirmed that Carlson’s last program was last Friday, April 21, where the journalist himself assumed that he would return this Monday.

Another well-known face that leaves his chain is the presenter Don Lemon, who assures on his Twitter account that he has found out the news through his agent. “I am in shock. After 17 years at CNN, I had thought that perhaps someone from management would have the decency to tell me directly,” he criticized.
