Finland will become a full member of NATO tomorrow
The ceremony will coincide with the 74th anniversary of the birth of the alliance, to which the Nordic country will adhere after the victory of the conservative party in its elections.

Finland will become this Tuesday the thirty-first formal member of NATOonce the accession process has been completed at the headquarters of the Atlantic Alliancewhere a flag-raising ceremony will be held, followed by a meeting of allied foreign ministers in which the Nordic country will participate as a full member.
“Tomorrow we will welcome Finland as the thirty-first member of NATO, making Finland and our Alliance stronger,” announced the Allied Secretary General, Jens Stoltenbergin a press conference this Monday.
“This is a truly historic day, a great day for the Alliance”, assured Stoltenberg, who recalled that the ceremony will coincide with the 74th anniversary of the birth of NATOon April 4, 1949.
Türkiye it was the last of the current 30 allies to ratify Finland’s NATO accession protocol, and for the process to be completed it must deposit the “instrument of accession” with the US State Department. He hopes that the Turkish Foreign Minister will deliver the documents to the head of the US State Department, Antony Blinken, on Tuesday when the two meet in Brussels.
The Norwegian politician has also pointed out that, with the integration of Finland, the land border between the Alliance and Russia will be “more than double” that of the current oneSo if Russian President Vladimir Putin “went to war against Ukraine with the clear goal of having less NATO”, he is getting “the opposite”.
