The shells impacted in the waters of the Sea of ​​Japan. after flying about 620 kms, the JCS added in a subsequent letter, which has stated that South Korean and US military intelligence officials “are exhaustively analyzing” the launches to come up with detailed specifications.

The highest South Korean military body also condemned “North Korea’s successive ballistic missile launchesas they are serious provocations that undermine peace and stability both on the Korean peninsula and in the international community, and are in clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions.”

This launch comes after Pyongyang fired two strategic cruise missiles from a submarine on Sunday. This is the seventh release so far this year carried out by the North Korean regime, which has promised to give an “unprecedented response” to the allies’ Freedom Shield spring exercises that started yesterday and will last until March 23.

It is also expected that a US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier will take part in these maneuvers in the coming days.
