Czech authorities have labeled the Chinese app a security threat TikTok and it has discouraged its use in all equipment that belongs to critical infrastructures, but also to society as a whole.
The National Office for Cyber and Information Security of the Czech Republic (NUKIB) has issued this warning “in view of the threat in the sphere of cyber security related to the installation and use of the TikTok application on computers with access to critical infrastructure computer and communication systems”.
TikTok is a mobile application and social network for share videos which has been developed by the Chinese company ByteDance.
Interior Minister Vít Rakušan has declared that he will insist that none of the workers in his department use the app on their official mobile phones, Radio Prague has reported.
