The support of the Government of Spain to Ukraine is “unwavering“. This has been transferred by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jose Manuel Albaresto the Senate Commission, in which he reported on the agreements reached at the high-level meeting held in Rabat (Morocco) on February 1 and 2, as well as the challenges of Spanish foreign policy for 2023.

“The Government of Spain he will not give up his support for Ukraine“Albares insisted, assuring that achieving peace is”the first and most important priority of Spanish politics“. The minister has transferred the Executive’s commitment to provide Ukraine with 251 million euros, accompanied by the delivery of 30 ambulances or the reception of about 170,000 Ukrainians.

Albares has not hesitated to censor the “unacceptable crimes of Russia“, reason why they send Leopard tanks, to “counter” the Russian offensive. “The alliance has committed to a 360 degree approach to our defense“, share.

However, for Albares, the event that will mark foreign policy will be the Spanish presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of this year, advancing the holding of a summit in Madrid of the European political community.

Regarding the agreements with Morocco, Albares assures that Spain cannot “resign itself to the fact that the Atlantic is the grave of thousands of people who only legitimately seek to improve their lives”, explaining that they already cooperate with Morocco against the mafias and so that migration is safe.
