The president of the Government, Pedro Sanchezhas intervened before the Rada of Ukraine in an applauded intervention that has formed part of his surprise visit to Kyiv.
After meeting with the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenskythe head of the Executive has had the opportunity to address the Ukrainian deputies, to whom he has wanted to transfer the support of Ukraine from Spanish society and has assured that he will take care of the refugees who are now in Ukraine.
“You are living the darkest hour, but remember that the darkest hour always precedes dawn,” said Sánchez in an applauded speech. “We are with you”has underlined.
The President of the Government also recalled the meeting he had with Ukrainian refugees in Spain this week, an episode that he wanted to share with legislators. “I saw strength and determination in their eyes. I saw pride and resolution in their spirits. I saw hope and security in their smiles,” Sánchez said. The president has promised to take care of the refugee families in our country until they can return when peace returns in Ukraine.
“Not only do I speak on behalf of the Spanish Government, I speak on behalf of Spanish society,” he insisted, to underline his conviction that they will soon see a Ukraine at peace again.
