The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has appealed to the unity of the Russians and their pride in the country by taking a mass bath at a concert in the Moscow Luzhnikí stadium. “When we are together, there is no one like us. Our strength is in unity,” said the head of the Kremlin during a brief speech before the crowd gathered there.

“Tomorrow is Defender of the Fatherland Day. There is something very powerful in these words, something mythical, sacred. Homeland and family is the same for us. These people who are with me have made the decision to defend the most valuable thing we have: our family, our homeland”, he indicated in his speech. According to the Russian leader, the whole country now supports the Russian military fighting in Ukraine. “Today we are here while a fight is taking place in our historical lands. Some 200,000 people have attended the rally and concert in Moscow in support of the Russian military campaign in Ukraine which is celebrated on the eve of the first anniversary of the start of the war on February 24.
