How to save a dying orchid? Use a clever trick of gardeners

When the orchid flowers fall, many people forget about it, and often even put the plant in a dark corner. Such treatment will cause the orchid to die sooner or later, instead of sprouting new leaves and flowers. What to do when it doesn’t look like it used to? First of all, use a clever trick of gardeners.

In order for the plant to grow and develop beautifully, it must have the right conditions. So it is important to trim the shoots. Green specimens should not be moved, but dry, yellow shoots should be taken care of. They should then be cut to the ground as low as possible. But what about the green shoots, which have only a small part dry? Then only the yellow part needs to be trimmed so that the plant has the resources to regenerate.

When the orchid shoots are trimmed, the plant should be put aside for some time in a cooler and shady place. A windowsill on the west side and a temperature of around 16-20 degrees Celsius will work best. It is worth leaving the orchid there for two weeks so that it can regenerate. Only after this time should the plant be watered and home fertilizer applied. It will make the leaves take on a saturated shade of green, and the orchid itself will receive additional support for proper development.

You can prepare a homemade one with light beer. Just mix a glass of water and 50 ml of beer, then water the plant. Such a treatment should be repeated once every few weeks, and the effects will quickly be visible in the form of green, shiny leaves and healthy shoots.
